Contemporary Improvisation – Nov. 2 2014

Collaborating with master saxophonist Dr. Jeremy Brown, I will be doing a live improvisation on piano on Sunday November 2, 2014. This is part of the Rubbing Stone Ensemble concert, 8pm at the Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary. Dr. Brown and I will be taking an old jazz standard on a very exploratory journey!

“One of Calgary’s Foremost exponents of new Canadian chamber music and one of the New Works Calgary’s resident ensembles. The Rubbing Stone Ensemble will present a concert of new Canadian works including world premieres of newly commissioned pieces from Canadian composers David Eagle, Melissa Hui, Nova Pon and Vincent Ho. Works by Canadian Composer Aaron Gervais and Gordon Fitzell will also be featured as well as the classic pulse-driven Hout by Dutch composer Louis Andriessen.”
